In September of 2009 Tija Ceramic Studio was awarded an AbililtiesFirst Recognized Employer award.

 

In early 2009 we set up our Brantford location to manufacture our own ceramic products. We Partnered with Community Living Brants' Supported Employment Program to offer opportunities for individuals with disabilities an inclusive environment to obtain employment skills.

 

Since this program started we offer mobile programs and drop in programs at anytime in an inclusive environment. Our goal is to ensure an integrated community of all abilities.

 

What does this mean to you? Well the knowledge that the ceramic piece you paint was Made in Canada, and assisted someone in obtaining new jobs skills in a positive environment.
